At Txuj Ci HMong Language & Culture Lower (K-4) we are very excited about our Extended Day Learning (EDL) program this school year!
EDL offers students fun, engaging activities to strengthen academic and social emotional skills. Licensed teachers and community partners provide a variety of hands-on experiences to get students excited about learning while making new friends and improving their skills.

This 2024-25 school year at Txuj Ci Lower Campus, we are very excited about our before-school program now called Flipside, formally known as Morning Program! This is a free program that offers student academic support and learning activities. We have a range of activities including, arts and crafts, paj ntaub, team building games, math, and science. Programs are taught and led by Txuj Ci staff and community experts.
Flipside is held before school from 7:30-9:10 and for four days of the week, Monday-Thursday. There is no transportation for students and so, students must be dropped off. Drop off times are between 7:30-8:00. Students can be dropped off at Door 15, which is the gym side door located in the school parking lot on Cypress St.
First day of Flipside will be on October 7, 2024 and the last day is on May 8, 2025.

Enrollment will be based on a first come first served basis!

LEGO League
Flipside also offers LEGO League for 4th grade students! Students will work together to design, code and build prototypes to compete in a LEGO League tournament against other schools. This program will run from October-January and the tournament will be held at the end of January. Our LEGO League instructors are led by Txuj Ci teachers, Mai Tong Vang and Katie Kostka. BAND
Flipside offers band classes for 3rd and 4th grade students! Students have the opportunity to choose an instrument to take home and practice. Our band teacher will teach students how to play their instrument individually and as a band. Students will practice to perform at our school band concert. We plan to have two band concerts this year, opened to families and our school community!
